ICE 11.0 Makes REDMAGIC 8 Pro an Even Cooler Gaming Smartphone
Before REDMAGIC 8 Pro came along, the title of coldest gaming smartphone was held by the REDMAGIC 7S Pro, which features the well-rounded ICE 10.0 Cooling System. We’ve since improved the design and cooling system to create an even cooler gaming smartphone with more internal ventilation and a next-level ICE 11.0 Multi-Dimensional Cooling System. The impressive new flagship design is surprisingly thinner than the previous generation, so you may be wondering — how do we make the phone perform faster while remaining cucumber cool during each game?
Iconic REDMAGIC Cooling
We understand that an overheating device can signal the end of a game, gamers have observed this from PCs and smartphones alike. Once it gets too hot, the device just can’t keep up with the game and defeat is almost inevitable. REDMAGIC has made the 20,000 rpm turbo fan an integral part of gaming smartphones to ensure that your phone stays at least 2.7℃ cooler at all times. This time around we’ve increased ventilation by arranging the ducts to give more air to the device when held horizontally, making them less prone to blockage while gaming. Overall, airflow is increased by 35%.
10 Layer Cooling System
The ICE 11.0 Multi-Dimensional Cooling System is similar to the previous ICE 10.0, but there is one major difference. They both have ten layers that include graphene, superconducting copper foil, and high thermal conductivity gel among other things. However, the super large VC liquid cooling heat sink has been improved into a 3D Vapor Chamber that’s 100% bigger than before. The 3D VC is evenly spread out over the entire back portion of the phone to cover the battery, and both the Red Core gaming chip and the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. This drops the temperature by up to 16℃ for a really cool gaming experience.
