This is why we’re excited to formally introduce the world to our latest gaming laptop, the REDMAGIC Blaze 16 Pro. Built for speed and endurance, this powerhouse gaming laptop goes above and beyond to answer the call.
Today, we’ll be looking at how the Blaze 16 Pro performs and how it can elevate your gameplay, multitasking, and processing power. However, instead of simply rattling on about the basic specs of the laptop, we’re relying on real-life evidence and testing from an esteemed Reddit reviewer, u/Moonlacer, who works with hardware and software for a living.
To truly test the limits of our most recent gaming laptop, Moonlacer did an elaborate run-through of the Blaze 16 Pro, and we’re as excited as you to see what he thought of it. Now, let’s run through some of the main highlights of the gaming laptop and see how our reviewer felt about them.
Push Processing Further
Gaming laptops are generally meant to be intensely powerful machines, capable of rapid processing and multitasking. This is mostly due to the high demands of the games and operations you’d expect them to run smoothly. For the Blaze 16 Pro, we knew that we had to up the ante for our loyal fans, which is why we rounded up the cream of the crop.
The Blaze 16 Pro comes fitted with an Intel Core™ Ultra 9 275HX processor for up to 200W Peak Performance with 24 cores and 24 threads, reaching speeds of up to 5.4GHz single-core turbo. This comes with Intel® Thread Director to easily monitor and analyze performance data in real-time for optimization of your performance-to-power ratio, alongside a newly integrated graphics architecture.
The laptop is also armed with up to 2TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD internal storage drive, offering dual M.2 slots that support PCIe 5.0 for upgrades and RAID 0 for high-speed storage expansion. When talking about performance, Moonlacer claimed that the laptop “rocks” and that his measured GPU pulling was around 180W under full load, which he finds to be quite high and probably puts the laptop somewhere around a 5060 Ti in terms of desktop GPU performance.
He also called the CPU quite a monster, destroying the benchmarks with some of the highest Cinebench R24 scores he had seen outside of beefy desktop computers. His game benchmarks were also captured using the in-game benchmark tools at native resolution with no upscaling on the “Awakening Mode” laptop performance preset on Goper.

When it came down to benchmark results, Moonlacer found that the Blaze 16 Pro easily reached a single-core score of 135 and a multi-core reading of 2048 with the Cinebench R24 benchmark. He called the CPU “quite a monster”, as it seemingly destroyed the benchmarks with some of the highest Cinebench R24 scores he had seen outside of beefy desktop computers.

He also commented on the Goper software that the Blaze 16 Pro uses to manage performance profiles, fan speed, macros, lighting effects, and more, stating that the overall experience had been greatly improved from what the REDMAGIC Titan 16 Pro had at launch, giving it a much more modern and refined look that’s not at all confusing to navigate. He also mentioned the Mora part of the app providing an AI assistant which can be moved around the screen and even allows you to change the LLM it uses once you log in with a Nubia account.

Dazzle with Display
The Blaze 16 Pro is fitted with a sleek 16-inch screen with a 2.5K high-refresh gaming display, a 300Hz ultra-high refresh rate, and a 16:10 screen ratio. Moonlacer also commended the display, saying that at 500 nits, the screen gets quite bright and is very clear in a well-lit room.
The display also uses physical privacy protection with a 108OP FHD+IR infrared camera for high-definition video calls, and Windows Hello support for fast and secure facial recognition logins.
In terms of lighting, Moonlacer also commenced the nicely diffused settings, stating that he had zero complaints and that everything looked great and was easily adjustable. He was further pleased that you could seamlessly choose from a wide variety of preset modes or customize each preset, along with individual key LED controls within the Goper app.
The NVIDIA® GeForce RTX 5090 laptop GPU in the Blaze 16 Pro also uses an all-new Blackwell architecture to unlock a new level of realistic panoramic, real-time ray tracing that simulates real light paths, ensuring lifelike graphics, stunning visuals, and unbelievably fast performance with DLSS4.
You can also easily switch graphics card modes without restarting your computer, allowing you to optimize performance and battery consumption accordingly through either Advanced Optimus hot-switching (NVIDIA Control Panel) and head-to-head cold-switching.
Form Meets Firepower
Built to elevate your capabilities, the Blaze 16 Pro comes draped in our signature tempered aluminosilicate glass top, paired with colorful RGB lighting and a transparent circuitry panel for a truly cyberpunk aesthetic. The gaming laptop exudes a premium touch with its semi-transparent composite-material body and sleek, excimer-paint finish.
Moonlacer also noted that the Blaze 16 Pro is fully aluminum and glass, apart from the display bezels, keyboard area, and keys. He stated that the top transparent panel under the REDMAGIC logo is also made of glass, while the back exhaust with RGB lighting is the same rigid textured plastic as the wrist wrest and keyboard area.
He concluded that the aluminum, glass, and plastic mix of the laptop are a great choice, with very little to nitpick about. He was particularly a big fan of our Excimer Super Skin-Feel Paint on the areas around the keyboard and trackpad for its very low friction that allows your palms to just glide along it during use.
